Ordsall hall event

My idea for having a tea making event came from the gardens and the herbs the Radcliffe family used to grow there. When we were walking through the hall, there was dried lavender hung on the windows which caught my attention as I love lavender!  English people love tea! So why not give them an event where they can make it themselves and then enjoy it whilst exploring the beautiful characteristics of Ordsall Hall.

I wanted to stay with the cosy ‘cottage like’ theme and use natural wood and products, to make it feel as ‘ at home as possible which is why I decided to go for a very simple design, using apple crates at shelving and storage, the crates will be stacked in the kitchen which would form shelves where the jars with herbs and flowers will be stored. There will be a large oak table in the middle with stools where you will sit down and make your flavours of tea, then pack it in teabags. Guests can drink their tea whilst walking around Ordsall hall. There will also be many places to sit down such as the existing café, rooms upstairs as well as the Great Hall which is the oldest part of this listed building, with interesting characteristics and lots of light where guests can enjoy their tea!
