Holiday findings

Whilst being away in the Caribbean during Christmas break, I spotted this great use of coconut shells which is genius! it's great that people all over the world are thinking more about how to use products over again and turn them into beautiful designs. The hotel also had a beautiful chandelier made from giant bamboos which hung in the reception hall, which was so relaxing to look at. The resort was quite big, with many restaurants serving food from all over the world. these were located in giant 'hut' like buildings. The ceilings had got a steel construction for strength as they were very high! the steel was covered with large dried palm leaves. If you looked closely, you could see swallows that have nested between the layers of thick leaves. This is such a great way of giving the wildlife a safe environment to nest and live in.
