I have been working on my design manifesto as a part of my Applied professional practice project. A design manifesto is something that describes us as designers through an image or sculpture, it can be anything that we feel is important to us as designers. To create my design manifesto, I have taken a slightly different approach to creating something from scratch, instead, I have looked over my previous work and used them to create an image that perfectly represents me as a designer. I have included words and phrases that are important to me as a designer and an individual and I feel that they represent my work style and values.

My design manifesto is very personal, to get inspiration and ideas I have asked my family and friends to describe me as a designer, I took their feedback and made a mind map to help me gather ideas and words that I think describe my work and ethics and compared them to what others have said. Some of the words repeated such as vegan design, recycling, sustainable design, luxury design, one of a kind, attention to detail, thinking outside the box, creativity. I used these words to create my circle of work, as it's not every time I think about all these aspects of my work, however, they always appear in my projects and are easily spotted. This is why I decided to create a manifesto that reflects this. To do so I have used my previous projects and layered them as they have all been sustainable and relate to me as a designer in all ways, I have used the words and wrapped them around the images in the shape of a square as I always think outside the box. My manifesto reflects who I am as a designer, it shows my design style and my core values in one image.
