Egger laminates Technical Intervention- Core Products

Today we had our first of three Egger laminates talks, we will be going through all the important information we should know when working with MFC (melamine faced chipboard) as good product knowledge is key in the interior design industry, to ensure our future clients get high-quality materials and equipment.

MFC is 100% recyclable, it is composed of recyclable particleboard product, laminated with melamine-impregnated decorative paper, bonded under intense heat (180C-200°C) and pressure, producing melamine faced board with an anti-bacterial surface. The process of production of Melamine faced chipboard has a negative carbon footprint of 13.3kgCO2/m2, meaning that this product comes from sustainable forests and it does not affect the air quality we are breathing.

We will be sent some samples to the university, so hopefully, we will be able to see them and have a closer look at them soon.
